Company was in business by 1897, and seems to have lingered perhaps until the early teens.
R. W. (Ruel William) Whitney was apparently a bit of a scholar. In 1903 the Imperial Press of Cleveland published his “newly paraphrased" version of Omar Khayyám’s Rubalyat.

On the cap there are 3 rings of gold on the base.

On top of the gold cap is a gold ring.

For the avid pen collector, we have real rarity.
